Term 1 Administration Update

 Statement of Account

Student statement of accounts have been sent out via email. Thank you to everyone for their patience while we were getting them out. If you did NOT receive a statement of account for your child, or, if you query regarding your statement, please do not hesitate to contact me: bahieh.chami@det.nsw.edu.au.

Lockers

Due to the purchase of more lockers, the school is now able to offer students a locker for their entire schooling career. Students now make a single payment (see pricing below) and receive their locker until Year 12 (or their exit from CGHS). We ask that students consistently check their lockers for perishables (e.g., fruit, lunch, drinks), especially before the holidays. 

Notification of Absence

Thank you to parents and guardians for informing us about student absences. Just a reminder that we need specific reasons for absences, especially if your daughter/ ward is sick. Please specify the absence as follows: sick - gastro, absent - mental health etc. If the absence reason is listed as simply ‘sick’ or ‘unwell’, we are required to follow up on this absence.

If your daughter needs or has a COVID test, please show proof of results to Office A staff before returning to school. Please see reminder: 

Students with any flu symptoms are asked to remain home and have a COVID test. Any student exhibiting symptoms whilst at school will be sent home and will also be asked to have a test. Before returning to school, the Department of Education now require that we see the documentation advising of the negative result and record the testing centre the student attended. Students cannot return to school until we sight negative test results.  This can be emailed to the school on canterburg-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au

Over the Phone Payments

The school can no longer accept credit card payments over the phone. The Department of Education (DoE) has requested this due to security risks. We recognize the inconvenience this may cause, however payments can be made via our online system or at our school office using cash, cheque or credit card (except American Express). If you are unsure of how to access our school online payment system, contact the school on 9718 1805 OR canterburg-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au.

Parent Portal

All year 7 and new enrolment caregivers have been emailed with information on how to sign in to the parent portal. If you are having any issues in registering with the parent portal, please email the school on canterburg-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au

Lowes Uniform Supply

This is to advise that unfortunately Lowes has experienced a flood event in their warehouse and this has resulted in damage or destruction of some uniform items.

At this stage they are yet to determine the specific items affected, or the impact on supply of those items in the coming months.
