It's difficult to advise young people about careers these days. As a parent you want to help them find their feet — but things have changed since you were at High School. We have been very lucky in that NHS has been chosen as one of three venues to trial an innovative new approach to careers planning for students and their families.
A roadmap to the future North
It's estimated that 40% of Australian jobs will be replaced by technology within 10 years and 65% of preschool children will work in new jobs that don’t exist yet.
Find Their Feet is an immersive careers event for Year 8, 9 and 10 students and their parents designed to help you navigate this uncertain future.
Much more than a careers expo
Find Their Feet is an immersive journey through time, from our industrial past to the technologically advanced future. After reflecting on their own unique interests, skills and strengths, students will place an avatar of themselves in the future world of work — a vast immersive landscape representing the future North made up of six distinct zones:
Future-focussed industry experts will be on hand to guide students on their journey and help with practical advice, support and next steps.
This a FREE events but places are limited. Don't miss out. Register NOW! Northcote High students have been allocated to a specific session time – please choose the correct time when you book using this link: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/explore-the-future-world-of-work-tickets-49203994472
