Learning in J01

Junior School J01 Bartlett is sharing the learning taking place in their class…

What a fantastic start to school we have had in J01!

We have been practising the school routines every day by unpacking our school bags, moving around the school safely, using our whole body listening skills, being focused learners and beginning to learn and follow some of our school values of Respect and Responsibility. 

J01 has been reading ‘Milo’s Birthday Surprise’ to meet different characters to help us learn letter names and sounds.  So far we have met Milo Monkey, Sally Snake, Felix frog, Ally Alligator, Peter Penguin and Tim Turtle.  Check out some of the awesome crafts we made to support our letter learning. 

In Mathematics we have had a focus on exploring and using numbers 0 - 10.  Making collections, rote counting, identifying numbers, and ordering.  We have also collected and are beginning to interpret simple data displays.

I just know it is going to be a FUNtastic year for J01.
