88.3 Southern FM Radio

MEDIA TEAM REPORT- MPS REPORT

On Thursday 11 March, the two School Captains, (Audrey and Calvin) as well as the two Media Captains (Alyssa and Ana) went to 88.3 Southern FM Radio.

We all worked together to create interesting topics to engage listeners of the radio station. It was super fun to collaborate and enjoy broadcasting to Melbourne and getting an insight of what it’s like to work behind the scenes.

We recommend it to all the Year 6’s to write an application letter to speak on the radio. It’s such a fun experience to work with our peers and have a bit of fun behind the microphone, and share things that are important to you to share with Melbourne.

The radio program allows students to put their creativity into a morning radio show. We talk about the school and upcoming events that have happened lately and are coming up. This is optional to all of the Grade 6’s at MPS who want to participate.

What are our thoughts on the Radio Program?

Alyssa: For me the radio was so amazing to be a part of, and was a great experience! It was fun to work with my fellow classmates throughout the morning and talk about the school.

Ana: My experience on the radio was amazing despite the few hiccups that happened being a first timer. Regardless of the challenges, I think it’s great to have a laugh and share topics that matter to you.
