Cultural Diversity Week
Celebrate Staughton College’s diversity this March as we have our Cultural Diversity Week. We’ve got lots of activities lined up for everyone!
Harmony Wall Art Competition
Our theme is “Our diversity is our strength”. Submit a photograph, drawing, painting or collage in A4 format to your Art teacher before the 16th of March. Winners will be announced on Harmony Day, the 21st of March.
Week 6
March 11, Friday
Sausage sizzle: Lunch time out in the courtyard.
Week 7
March 15-17, Tuesday-Thursday
Soccer World Cup: One on one knock out caged games at lunchtime. Prizes to be won!
March 16, Wednesday
Ice Cream Fun Day: An ice cream and gelato truck will offer flavours like mango, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry/lime. We will pre-sell tickets, so stay tuned!
March 17, Thursday
Henna Tattoo: Express yourself with henna. Come at lunchtime with silver coin donations.
Rubik’s Cube Challenge: One on one timed games will run during lunch out in the courtyard.
March 18, Friday
Tastes of the World: Authentic food from around the world will be available at lunchtime in the multi at very affordable prices. We’re also pre-selling tickets for this event.
Week 8
March 21, Monday
Cultural Fashion Parade and Dances: Enjoy a lunchtime fashion show and traditional dances from our talented students.
We will also have award ceremonies for our Soccer World Cup, Harmony Art Wall Competition and Rubik’s Cube Challenge.
If you’re interested in signing up for Soccer World Cup or the Rubik’s Cube Challenge, our Culture Captain, Nyibol Atoc, will be around during the Swimming Carnival.
If you have a passion for fashion and would like to walk the runway, let Nyibol know as well!
