Swimming Carnival

On Monday the 3rd of February, Staughton College held their annual swimming carnival at Melton Waves. Despite the cooler weather, there was a great turn out with lots of house pride being shown.

Besides competing in the swimming events, there was lots for students to do on the day; There were students running hair and face painting stalls, there were games of volleyball and football happening throughout the grounds, the VCAL ran a delicious barbeque, there were live performances by some of our very talented students, and the new “Big Splash” was a great addition to the festivities.

The results of the day were:

1st place – Watts with 1,203

2nd place – Kitson with 987

3rd place – Cotterell with 742

Overall, the swimming sports were a showcase of the talent and house spirit that the students possess.
