14 November, 1907. This year marks the 110th anniversary of the birth of Astrid Lindgren, the author of the classic Pippi Longstocking.

Louisa Alcott
185 years ago on 29th November, 1832, Louisa May Alcott was born in Pennsylvania. She went on to create a memorable series about the March Family, beginning with Little Women.
The Senior Library has a number of titles in the series. They can be found in the Family section and are available for borrowing by students in Year 7 and up. There are also abridged versions for younger readers.
