Environement Team

“MGC Environmental leader in the media”

The Environment team have hit the ground running this year with two major projects as part of the Sustainable Living Festival: our 6th annual Pedal-powered community cinema hosted on the grounds of MGC on the 24th of February and our second year collaborating with The New Joneses program hosted at Federation Square.

On Sunday 5th of February, Middle school environment captain Lucy Skelton was interviewed live on air on “Out of the Blue”, a marine issues radio show on 855am 3CR. Lucy was a natural radio personality and publicised the upcoming Pedal Cinema featuring Mr Vance’s new favourite movie ‘Finding Dory’ (hence the marine link) and also talked about her participation in the Ocean Youth Program in 2016 organised by the Sea Life Trust and Melbourne Aquarium.

Well done Lucy! Lucy’s interview can be heard here: http://www.3cr.org.au/radioblue {SEE ATTACHED PHOTO OF LUCY IN STUDIO}

We would love to see you at the Pedal cinema, a great chance to bring a picnic along to the beautiful school grounds and meet some other MGC families and find out about how MGC is striving to be a carbon neutral school. BYO or buy food and drinks from our fundraising stalls.
