House Cup

MGC encourages participation and excellence in extra/co/other curricular activities through the awarding at Presentation Night in November of the House Cup.

Points are awarded to students when they attend a variety of activities and/or participate in competitions. I collate these points throughout the year and progress scores are updated weekly and displayed on the school TVs and published in the Newsletter.

All activities that we know about are awarded points for participation and  more for excellence in a competition. Some examples of the type of activities include: Chorals, Band, Choirs, House Production, Soirees & Performances, VCE Results, Public Speaking Comps, Alliance Francois, Writing Comps, Excursions, Swimming and athletic carnivals, School teams, Fun Run, Conferences, Youth Parliament & Forums, Pi Day, Maths Competition, Rowing, Debating, Environmental Conferences, volunteerism, excursions, Philanthropic events, etc
