2020 France Tour

Dear parents of students of French,

Our information evening for the upcoming 2020 France Tour was held on Wednesday evening (6/11) in the library. It was fantastic to see so much interest in this terrific opportunity for students of French.

If you missed out for any reason and your child would like to participate in the study tour, please download the application document and the slides from our information evening, attached below. These slides outline the itinerary, costs, and other vital details of the tour.

The due date for student applications and deposit payment is Friday, December 6. See the document for what you need to include in your application.

If you have questions, you can email me, the tour organiser, via Compass.

Yours sincerely,

Jason Kohlman & the France tour team

France Tour FAQ:

Dear MGC French community,

This message is for those intending to apply for the 2020 France Study Tour, and aims to clarify a few points I was not very clear about in my previous communications:

  •  The total tour cost is expected to be around $5,800, paid in two instalments, including the deposit.
  • The cost doesn't include spending money, which families should consider. All dinners and breakfasts are included in the cost, but some lunches are not.
  • The due date for both the deposit payment of $3,000 and the student application is 6 December. The student application is a short written summary prepared by the student intending to go (instructions are on the sheet linked via Compass, but I'll paste them below for convenience).
  •  Please make all submissions to the administration at the General Office.

Hopefully this makes things a bit clearer! All the best,

Mr Kohlman
