Spring Fair 2016 Sign Off….
Big thanks to the families who responded to the Spring Fair Survey 2016. Please find following a few snippets from the 51 responses. ... there was:
- almost unanimous support for use of student artwork in advertising material
- appreciation that the diversity of the Collingwood College Community was represented at the Spring Fair - with numerous shout outs to The African Coffee Stall - thanks Suad!
- a desire to identify more activities that may engage older primary & secondary students and
- enjoyment of the marquee - and having Cookin’ on 3 Burners at the end of the day - thanks Dan!
The timing of the Collingwood College Fair was one of the question points. 62.7% of respondents thought the idea of moving to Term 1 was a good idea. This data has been presented to School Council & Leadership & they will update the school community with their position on the timing of the Fair.
It is exciting to announce that the Spring Fair raised in the ballpark of $30,000.
Congratulations Collingwood College Community! Thanks to all the families who found time to prepare & staff stalls and make the day so wonderful. Leadership will advise of the process by which funds will be allocated in Term 1, 2017! Exciting!
Another massive thanks to the fabulous parents (& their support networks) who put in huge amounts of effort to make this Fair happen - Penny & Gareth Holmes, Kylie Lawson, Ruth Vincent, Katie Falkiner & Lauren Dircks. Also thanks to Sylvia Tai, Kylie Betts, Sue Maslin & Liz Kelly who also carried large tasks!
