Semester One Strathbogie Camps

Over the course of Semester One, our 11 Year 7 classes have enjoyed 3 days of camping fun, activities and quality time to bond with each other and their teachers. It was such a pleasure seeing off our school bus each week filled with the smiling faces of our Year 7’s, who enjoyed campfires, farm visits, archery, swimming, art walks and many other experiences that helped the groups bond with each other. All of these camps ensured that the College’s Strathbogie Campus had a most successful semester, running 11 camps attended by a staggering 222 students, supported by 34 teachers and aides.

As an Integrated Studies teacher myself, I love getting to know my new I.S. class as it is a rare opportunity to have some real quality time with my newest students. I enjoy challenging students to try new things and spend some time in the beautiful Victorian countryside. Camp is full of lovely conversations, walks through nature, fun, laughter and shared experiences.

On behalf of the students and wider school community, I would like to thank all of the staff who have generously given their own time to spend three days with their classes in Strathbogie in order to truly get to know each other; the children, parents and your fellow teachers thank you.

In Semester Two, the Year 8 students can look forward to more fun filled camps and precious memories.
