Year 7 & 8

Welcome to Term 3! I hope that students and families enjoyed the break and made the most of the opportunity to enjoy some family time.  Our new term is now well underway and is shaping up to be another busy term.

I hope that everyone has had an opportunity to reflect on the Mid-Year Report that went home at the end of last term, celebrating both effort and achievement, along with discussing areas for improvement and focus this term. These conversations are invaluable and support students to set goals and take responsibility for their own learning.

We are very proud of the way in which our students and families adapted to remote learning once again.

Remote Learning 5.0 and now 6.0 is resilience in action! Overcoming obstacles and challenges and pushing through even when the novelty of sleep-ins and pyjama Microsoft teams meetings has wearing off.

Let’s hope that we can return to on-site learning as soon as possible. To do so we all need to be playing our part in covid-safe behaviours around the school and in our local community. This includes mask wearing. Once we are back on grounds please remember to do so.

“Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving, we get stronger and more resilient.”

― Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free

“Resilience is accepting your new reality, even if it’s less good than the one you had before. You can fight it, you can do nothing but scream about what you’ve lost, or you can accept that and try to put together something that’s good.”― Elizabeth Edwards

Stay safe everyone.
