Maths
We will be providing lots of hands-on and engaging activities in the classroom this term.
Our focus in Number will be moving on from multiplication to division and fractions. We will explore money and then return to revise place value later in the term.
In Measurement and Geometry the students will explore the features and classification of two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes. With the warmer weather we aim to teach some open-ended activities outside, using water to demonstrate concepts like capacity and mass. Students will practise giving and following directions to/from different locations using their positional language.
Statistics and Probability this term will have the students explore the chance of familiar events happening and the language used to describe the outcomes.
We look forward to our students improving their problem-solving skills, with a focus on patterns, through open-ended lessons where they will enjoy the opportunity to collaborate with their classmates.
