REMARKABLE READING

40 nights party

Congratulations to the 216 students who have read for at least 40 nights this term and had hot chips for lunch today. So wonderful to see reading being completed across all levels in the school. Our goal is to smash this number next term for our 40 nights party. Remember you can start reading on day 1 of the holidays to count your 40 nights for the term – YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

ASSEMBLY AWARDS

Congratulations to our Somerville Star Award Winners for this fortnight. 

AWESOME WORK

It is so wonderful to wander around the school and see the amazing work going on in the classrooms. Here are some of our foundation students during their DL sessions. They are always so engaged love their DL sessions.

The Foundation Team are looking for the following donations to create some awesome learning opportunities. If you have any of these items at home and would like to donate them please drop them to the office or the Foundation classrooms.

BASKETBALL COURTS

It is sooooooo awesome to see our basketball courts getting used each and every break by the kids. Can’t wait to get the colours on in the September school holidays and then it will look fantastic!!!

PINK DAY

Woweeeee – didn’t everyone look superb dressed in pink today. Thank you again to our wonderful community for getting behind this great cause and supporting our local footy club, Somerville Eagles, to raise money for Breast Intentions. Some of our students will be presenting a cheque from us on their upcoming pink day.
