SACE Practice Exams

Our students who will be assessed by exam in term four, will have compulsory practice exams inweek 5 of this term in the digital delivery space.

The purpose of these exams is to familiarise themselves with the process of an exam; what to bring, how they run etc. so that the big day is more comfortable.

Please make sure you attend the following sessions, if you are enrolled in the subject:

Monday 9:10am - 10:40am General and Essential Mathematics

Tuesday 1:30 - 3:00pm Psychology (e-exam)

Thursday 1:30pm - 3:00pm Biology (e-exam)andLegal Studies (e-exam)

Subject teachers have all been informed of these sessions and so students will not miss out on any learning at these times, nor will they need to negotiate to miss the class.

Students are asked to arrive at the Digital Delivery Space 10 minutes before the scheduled starting time, with pens,  a water bottle with no label, a quiet snack in a plastic container (optional), a cheat sheet if you are allowed one in your subject (check with your subject teacher) and your calculator if you are allowed one. I will provide a dictionary per student if one is allowed for the subject.

Students are asked to email me or catch me at school if they have any questions or concerns.

Flinders University Year 11 Grades Admission Pathway

Flinders University have announced that, just like The University of Adelaide, their Year 11 Grades Admission Pathway will continue for 2022 entry. This is being offered in response to requests from both students and school partners as well as the ongoing impact of COVID-19.

Please refer to the Year 11 Grades admission pathway flyer for full information.

This pathway will allow current Year 12 students to gain entry to Flinders based on their Year 11 Grades and gain an early conditional offer to start their university studies in their preferred degree. Students will need to successfully complete the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) (or equivalent) to confirm their admission.

To apply, you will need to:

  1. Apply online. This includes a parental/caregiver declaration of consent.
  2. Flinders will then provide a pre-populated spreadsheet after applications close for me to select the relevant Year 11 grade band of participating students.
  3. I will then return the spreadsheet to Flinders. Conditional offers will be made by Flinders University.

Based on demand, Flinders will assess if a late offer round will be considered.

Their other pathways including: ATAR entry, UniTest, Research Project B, and School Recommendation continue to be available.

Please make contact with me if you have any questions about this process.
