Congratulations and Well Done

Congratulations and Well Done to Alex O’Dea who, as part of his Stage 2 Integrated Learning Assignment work, recently took on the Catering for a Friday night Tea at the Peterborough Golf Club.

Integrated Learning requires an individual task to be undertaken and organised by each student. Alex decided to plan and prepare an evening meal which could be sold at the Golf Club for one of their Friday Night Teas. He negotiated a possible date for this to occur and then went about planning and preparing the food that would be needed.

Alex planned and prepared Lasagne to be accompanied by Garlic Bread and served with a tossed salad.

On the night Alex was responsible for heating up food, and serving it to the dinner customers at the Golf Club. A job he did extremely well according to the letter the school received from the Golf Club congratulating Alex on his efforts.

Kitchen Operations

Kitchen Operations has started and is in it's third session this week.

Students are working with Nigel Stevens for Barossa TAFE to complete the Certificate 2 qualification which will also earn them 40 SACE Credits.

These first three weeks have been about getting through Introductory Theory and then the group moves onto the food preparation tasks which they are looking forward to.
