1/2 AROUND THE TRAPS

Literacy
This week we have been working on reading and writing information texts. We are learning that facts are true and then how to record facts when researching. The students are working towards making their own informative posters about an animal.
Maths
This week the Maths focus is groups of and equal groups. We are learning about the concept of sharing, sharing equally and that sometimes it can’t be done and there are leftovers.
Inquiry
Our Inquiry Unit this term is about Aboriginal culture, history and geography. We have looked at Totems and read some creation stories from the Minjambuta and Bangerang Tribes. We will move on to Indigenous seasons and place names in the coming weeks.
RE
Our RE Unit is focusing on sharing with others, our call to mission and exploring how God invites us to love and care for ourselves and others.
SAKG
On Monday we rolled up our sleeves and got to work in the vegies patches. It was a jungle in there with all sorts of weeds and vines but when we were finished it looked like a brand new garden. We relocated some strawberries, oregano and planted some new string beans. We look forward to getting into the kitchen and cooking with a passion to create some tasty dishes!
