Sisters are doing it for themselves!
Congratulations to our Year 11 and 12 Drama students on staging two polished performances of Caryl Churchill's feminist masterpiece, Top Girls, at St Peter's Hall recently.
The play formed part of the students' Theatre Performance 3 coursework, with all young actors relishing the opportunity to hone their craft, perform for an audience and bring 80s fashion (think shoulder pads and power suits) back into the limelight.
Written in 1982, Top Girls is described as a 'seminal play of the modern theatre'. It explores female power, the roles available to women in modern society, and what it means—or takes—for a woman to succeed. Bravo!
