Junior cross country 'season' went off with a bang!
Over the past month, the St Mary's College Cross country team participated in three cross country events: the STCPSSA carnival, the All Schools Cross Country at Symmons Plains (a very early start to the day at 7.00am and late finish at 4.00pm) and, on Friday 1 July, the rescheduled JSSATIS carnival.
We're delighted to announce the 'Top 10' finishers in each age group:
Year 6
Jasmine Williams – 3rd
Harriet Nattey – 6th
Priscilla Wara – 8th
Year 5
Charlotte Pritchard – 5th
Year 4
Sofia Palermo – 4th
Estelle Leary – 5th
Oliva Atchison – 9th
Annabelle Macey – 10th
While it's great to acknowledge the top place-getters, I also do want to mention that every single runner represented St Mary's College so incredibly well.
All girls should be proud of themselves and the effort they gave, irrespective of where they finished. Well done to all participants!

Round robin tournament
On Friday 25 June, three Year 5 teams and three Year 6 teams took to the court to participate in a netball round robin at the Hobart Netball and Sports Centre.
Each team played five games, competing against seven other Catholic primary schools, where the emphasis was on good sportsmanship, learning new skills, making friends and having fun.
While our students had the advantage of having played netball and were strong in their games, they displayed commendable willingness to help their opposition.
Thank you to the parents and carers who assisted with coaching or umpiring on the day.
