Preparing for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

The excitement continues to build as Aberfoyle Park High School approach the introduction of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in 2022. The school has undergone a two-year process in preparation for this moment, which began in 2019 with an application to become a candidate school. The application has since led to comprehensive professional development for teachers, the upgrading of facilities and some wonderful engagement with the school community.

During the recent final stages of the authorisation process school leadership, members of governing council, teaching staff, parents and students came together to passionately advocate the school’s commitment to promote and uphold the values of the International Baccalaureate. With the final preparations underway, Aberfoyle Park High School are eager to begin the delivery of the programme, with current options available for students and parents to access specific information and subject counselling in regard to the IBDP for 2022.

For families interested in learning more about the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, information can be found in the school curriculum handbook, and an information brochure can be collected from student reception. Alternatively, please contact Ryan Brown (ryan.brown@aphs.sa.edu.au), the programme coordinator with any questions or queries regarding this exciting opportunity.
