MAS NATIONAL

Mas National provides support services for employment, development and growth opportunities to individuals, employers and communities who offer apprenticeship and traineeship. 

Organisations and companies approach Mas National to find the perfect candidate for their business, rather than going through the costly time and effort of advertising and interviewing. Mas National forward potential student’s names and resumes to businesses.

Mas National came to Aberfoyle Park High School and spoke to our year 12 students about how to gain an apprentice/traineeship. Jacqui Pawson was invited to attend all the stage 2 Workplace Practices classes to outline and discuss with our students things to consider in leaving school and possible pathways options for 2022.

From this presentation, Jacqui, who is a Career Advisor, attended school every Thursday for four weeks to meet with students who were primarily interested in an apprenticeship/traineeship. She also had conversations with other students about alternative pathways. 

Students attended half hour interviews throughout the school day. In this appointment they discussed potential options and the way to gaining an apprenticeship. Students who met the criteria and are ready for employment are now being supported by Mas National with opportunities. Already two students have had interviews with companies for apprenticeships.

We are pleased to announce that Jacqui will return in term 3 one day per week in weeks 8, 9 and 10. Students in year 10 or 11 wanting more information about apprenticeship/traineeships and who would like to meet with Jacqui or students who would like support from MAS National to help gain an apprenticeship need to contact Ms Holmes. There are limited appointment times and hence it will be first in to get an interview.
