Book Week 21-27 August 2021

Theme: Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds

Our book week is almost here and we cannot wait to celebrate our love of books and reading!

We are planning lots of great fun and exciting events and competitions, including a book fair, book parade, dress ups, storybook writing and colouring competitions for our students to encourage a love of books and reading.  Children and parents can purchase books and the funds raised from the book fair will help buy books for our school library.

We are seeking volunteers for the book fair, so please contact me on 9857 5157 if you can help us.

Thank you kindly, we look forward to your support and seeing you at the book fair soon!

International Day of Friendship 30 July 2021
International Day of Friendship 30 July 2021

Did you know it is the National Pyjamas Day tomorrow, 23 July

and

the International Day of Friendship next Friday, 30 July

Theme: Deepening International Friendships

International Friendship Day https://www.un.org/en/observances/friendship-day is a day to celebrate, appreciate and promote friendships.  One goal of this observance is to bridge the gaps between race, color, religion, and other factors which keep humans from fostering friendship with one another.

According to the United Nations, one purpose of this observance is to promote the idea that friendship between peoples, countries, cultures, and individuals can inspire peace efforts and build bridges between communities.

It is especially important right now during this present lockdown to connect with your friends and a great opportunity to celebrate the important people in our lives and how they make our own worlds better.  Kind words are so powerful, so get in touch and connect with your friends today!

It is also National Pyjama Day https://www.nationalpyjamaday.com/

tomorrow, 23 July, so have fun and wear your favourite pyjamas tomorrow with your family and friends.
