Principal's Report

Saint Francis Xavier - Principal's Report

Term 3 - Week 5

Dear Parents and Friends of St Francis Xavier,

Here we are again!

I would like to take this time to thank our parents, carers, students and teachers for their efforts over the past few weeks. The community as a whole has united to push through these tough times and soldier on to best support their child/ren. I have received many emails and calls of support from parents letting me know that whilst remote offsite learning is tough and presents many challenges, the teaching staff of St Francis Xavier have gone above and beyond to support all our students to achieve their best.

I am really grateful and appreciative of all the St Francis Xavier staff; our Teachers, our Learning Support Officers and our Admin team who have done an amazing job in relation to their planning and preparation, their delivery of work to our children and their communication and follow up with students and parents. The positive way that they have approached offsite leaning and on-site learning has been nothing short of outstanding.

To the parents and carers of our beautiful students, I want to acknowledge everything you have done to support your children in their learning during this very uncertain and challenging time. It might not always feel like it, but you are doing an amazing job. Thank you for the resilience, patience and understanding that you have and continue to show.

Here is a copy of the letter which was sent to all families this morning via SkoolBag. Please have a read through if you are yet to do so.

A Special Word of Thanks and Acknowledgement

Miss Marion; our wonderful Deputy Principal and Religious Education Leader, has done an outstanding job throughout these very trying times, trying to organise the sacramental programs for our students. Plans have changed so many times that I have lost count! Please know that Marion continues to working closely with Father Chinua to try and organise new dates, COVID-safe seating arrangements and the best possible experience for each family.

Second Hand Uniforms

When Miss Claire was giving the uniform shop a tidy this morning, she noticed that there is a large number of second hand uniforms available at the moment. If you need anything, then please contact the office once school returns and Claire or Maxine would be happy to show you what is available.

Thank you to all the families who donate old uniforms back to the school, it is greatly appreciated by many.

Take care of each other.
