Welcome to the College Library!
The college library welcomes you back to Term 2! We hope you had a restful break and are ready to dive into another exciting term of learning and exploration. Our library team has been hard at work over the break, preparing new resources and activities to engage and inspire our students. As always, our doors are open, whether you need assistance finding resources, advice on promoting reading habits, or simply a quiet space to browse, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're excited to see what this term has in store for us all, and we look forward to working with you to create a positive and productive learning environment for our students.
EDUCATION WEEK
Education Week takes place from May 14 to May 20 (Week 4). This annual celebration of education in Victoria is an important time for educators and students to take part. This year’s theme is ‘Active Learners: Move, Make, Motivate’ which celebrates physical activity, hands-on-learning and student voice in education. During this time your library will also be planning some fun opportunities for students to get involved. Each day the college library will focus on one library research skill over the week, concluding on Friday 19 May with a scavenger hunt in the library. More information to come!
CELEBRATING 1/2C
We are celebrating 1/2C as this class has done a fantastic job this year so far, getting to know the Dewey system and where to find books during their library session. We have been really impressed to see them going straight to the shelves, as this means they know their numbers and alphabet sequences. We hope that all classes will be able to demonstrate these skills during all library sessions for their chance to be featured here in the newsletter.

The latest issue of Book Club is out now! If you are wishing to put in an order, please make sure you have it in by the due date (see below). If you have any questions regarding anything ‘book club’, The library is more than happy to assist you. FYI: Please return by Wednesday May 10th
