Principal Post

Dear Families,

Happy Easter!! We hope that everyone who celebrated the Easter season enjoyed the celebrations and festivities!   Easter reminds us that God is always with us and  we are always with God! May we continue to be people of hope and faith and Light the Way within our families and our school!

I trust that across the term break we all found some valuable time to  spend  with family and friends. To all our students we  hope that you have enjoyed a wonderful break from the school routine and are feeling re-energised and ready to give your best and enjoy another productive term here at St John Vianney's.

ANZAC Day Service

This morning our students, staff and a few families participated in a beautiful reflective ANZAC Day Service.  Thank you to our SRC and Student Captains for their organisation and presentation.

Thank you to the Community for their very generous support of Legacy ANZAC Day appeal. Your purchase of badges, poppies and and wrist bands raised considerable money for veterans and their families.

Staff News

In the holidays Jodie Sneikus one of our many Learning Support Officers resigned her position to take up a role as a full time Library technician at Haileybury College in Keysborough.  Jodie has always had a passion for the Library. We wish  her well. Jodie passes on her best wishes to the students and the community and writes:

Dear St John Vianney School Community,

It was a difficult decision to leave such an amazing community, and it is with sadness that I didn’t get to say goodbye. I came to St John Vianney's following my dream to work and support students from a diverse multicultural community. Now after completing my library studies, I am following my dream of working fully in a library. I have been so lucky to have met and worked with amazing colleagues, whose continuous kindness and support, will be dearly missed.

I can say with absolute honesty the biggest treasures of my time at SJV have been the students. They never ceased to amaze me with their creativity and uniqueness that made each individual special. These wonderful memories, I gratefully take with me.

Thank you, Miss Jodie

Congratulations

Congratulations to Miss Leyla who will be getting married to Matt on May 6th. Leyla's last day before the wedding celebration will be Tuesday 2nd May.  Leyla will return on May 10th.

Be Punctual

As we begin Term 2, it is important that

all students  be in their classrooms by 8:45am.  If a student is late they must come to the office to get a late pass.

The students are not supervised until 8:30am. Camp Australia operates before school care from 6:30am.

 2024 Foundation Interviews

Interviews for 2024 Foundation will begin for new families.

Existing Families will be contacted in the coming weeks about an Interview time. Siblings are automatically enrolled.

Please ensure that we have all the enrolment documentation at the office.

Illnesses

As we move into the cooler months and with COVID still present within the community, please ensure your child stays home if unwell.  Should you require a RAT test we have boxes at school.

Canteen

A reminder no cash sales at the canteen. Please ensure you read the Canteen page for more info.
