Stage 1

We look forward to ending our very busy term with the fabulous K-2 Hat Parade on Thursday 6 April. The parade will begin at 10:15 am on the pebbles. We would love to see you there! Please join your child afterwards for morning tea. The P & C will be selling delicious hot cross buns for $2 each, or 3 for $5.

We hope you have an enjoyable holiday with your family and we look forward to welcoming students back for Term 2 on Wednesday 26 April.

Integrated Studies

We are learning to communicate an understanding of change using a timeline.

We can:

• accurately record and describe the features of living things using observational drawings and labels
• describe changes in our physical appearance over time
• describe milestones in our life as we grow and change

Students germinated a bean seed earlier this term and have been observing and recording the changes we have seen. We discovered that over-hydration and dehydration will cause the seeds to die, but with the right amount of water and sunlight, the seed will grow. We saw leaves unfurl and reach for the warmth of the sunlight. We might try our hand at gardening at home!
