Year 4 Urban Gardening

Our school now has a bee hotel so that bees can lay their eggs in a safe place. We need bees because they pollinate our plants which means they carry pollen from one plant to another and fertilise them which helps the plants grow. 

We would not survive if bees did not exist because they pollinate our plants so food can grow.

 We need to take care of our bees and even though it hurts when they sting us, they only do this if they feel threatened so we should be grateful for bees instead of not liking them.
