Trivia with a Musical Twist abig success!
Over 200 people came together on Friday 5 May at the Box Hill Town Hall to test their trivia skills and be treated to a night of entertainment and delicious mocktails. The Trivia with a Musical Twist fundraiser was a huge success and raised approximately $5000 for the Koonung theatre program! The night was organised by the dedicated and very creative Koonung Theatre Parents group volunteers.
Several students gave performances throughout the night, with the full cast of the musical taking to the stage for the grand finale to give guests a sneak preview of this year’s production.
A big thank you to Lorenzo Ianotti and John Edney (Edney Celebrations) for donating their time to host the night and City of Whitehorse who provided the venue and Box Hill Town Hall staff for support with venue arrangements and during the night. It was also great to have a table of teachers showing their support, who came within a single point of the 2023 Trivia Champions title!
To everyone who attended, a huge thank you for your support! It would not have been such a successful night without such a great turnout. A great deal of effort, time and cost goes into pulling the musical together every year, so every bit of support makes it easier to create the final show and to showcase our amazing school talent.
To the Koonung Community, keep an eye out for messages about the upcoming musical! The date has been set for 20-29 July, and tickets will be for sale soon. Don’t miss out!

Mother's Day event continues to grow
Our Mother's Day breakfast was a resounding success that continues to build from year to year. Last Thursday more than 250 guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast and enjoy the opportunity to gather with others and celebrate the special women in our lives. Thank you so much to all those who contributed either by donating or assisting to the success of this event. Special thanks to David Winter of BreadStreet (Mont Albert North) who provided the scrumptious pastries.
Second hand uniform shop
Thank you to May-Na Bee, Sophia Quek and their team who have dedicated themselves to opening the shop each week, providing parents with an opportunity to recycle clothes and raise money for the PFA. Volunteers are always welcome (even one hour a month helps!). Send an email to:

Be a parent rep!
The role of a Parent Representative needs no experience, just a willing spirit to facilitate parent connection in your student’s year level. You could organise coffee outings, a dinner, a Sunday afternoon picnic or whatever you like doing! We generally recommend 2 representatives to support each other for your year level. The PFA will support and help facilitate any events you wish to organise.
