Year 1 and 2

Dear Grade 1 and 2 Families, 

Congratulations on making it through a very successful first term. We thank you for all your support over the last 11 weeks and look forward to what’s install for our students in Term Two. We hope that you have a restful two weeks break and that the students come back to school on Monday 24th April, refreshed and ready to learn again. 

Cultural Diversity Day:

It was wonderful to see so many students dressed up last Monday wearing cultural dress or orange in support of our Cultural Diversity Day / Harmony Day. Students enjoyed the opportunity to parade their outfits at the assembly and partake in numerous classroom activities that encompassed each child's culture and heritage.

Colour Run:

The Colour Run proved a HUGE success, with students, teachers and their respective families all joining in and having an absolute ball. It was great to see so many smiling faces, positive energy and pure happiness. We thank everyone involved in helping this event come to fruition and are super proud of what the school community has achieved as a collective, in terms of our fundraising goals. Swimming:

We are once again looking forward to our swimming program next term. The Year 1 and 2 students will be participating in a five-day program at AquaLink swimming pool in Nunawading in week 5. During the week, the children will learn important safety and survival skills in group lessons that are tailored to their swimming ability. Whilst further information is still to come, please prepare your child by allowing them to practise dressing and undressing by themselves during the school holidays so that they can do this independently when at the swimming pool change rooms.
