Meet our eSmart Leaders
This week the Year 5 & 6 students have participated in eSmart lessons to assist them develop smart, safe and responsible behaviours around digital devices.
The Year 5's will look at plagiarism and why it is not ok to pretend that something is your own work. They will demonstrate this understanding by creating a rhyme or rap to share with the grade.
The Year 6's look how to keep online friendships safe. Whilst children and young people make friendships everywhere they go - including online, not all friendships are the same. The Year 6 students will learn how to start online friendships whilst protecting themselves and gain an understanding of both the benefits and risks of online-only friendships.
This week at Assembly our eSmart Leaders, Anya and Hermione told the Year 5 & 6 students of the opportunity to write a review for their favourite game or app. They can hand these reviews into their class teacher or one of our eSmart Leaders. The best of these reviews will be put in our newsletter.
Students can collect a form to write their review on from the Year 6 end of the Learning Centre - they will be pinned to the leadership board.
Parents if you have a website/game/app that you would like to write a review for - we would love to hear from you too. Email your review to julie.hall2@education.vic.gov.au
