Highlights of Term 1 and Term 2 by Tilly Mark, Charla Varapodio and Lila Smith

This year may have been a little bit of a roller coaster, but there have been some amazing highlights!

Tilly

Roses Gap was an experience to all of us, it's truly amazing! What is Roses Gap you ask? Well, Roses Gap is a nature camp with lots of activities to keep our minds engaged! The activities mostly involve a lot of teamwork and cooperation, so it was a terrific challenge to all of us! Sovereign Hill was a blast from the past travelling back to the grand gold rush! Sovereign Hill was an adventure with gold panning and old stores with clothes, soap, candy and other goodies. Now a trip down a mine isn't your everyday walk!

Lila

Two days that everyone enjoys are Zooper Dooper day, and Shrove Tuesday! Zooper Dooper day usually occurs in summertime, where the Community Service team raises the money you use to buy the cooling Zooper Doopers for Project Compassion, it's a win-win! Shrove Tuesday is before Ash Wednesday, when Catholic’s use up their rich foods to cook these delicious and unique pancakes!

Charla

Every year, we have a school fete with more delicious foods, new parents volunteering to sell different creative things and new jokes from Mr Butts! This year met above and beyond to the school’s expectations! This year's school fete we also got to see a lot of missed students who have already graduated primary school, we also had lots of parents volunteering to create stalls filled with terrific things like plants, food, drinks, bracelets, and so much more! Thank you to all the parents and students who helped out in term 1!

During remote learning, we missed seeing lots of our friends, family and going to places like cafes, restaurants and theatres. But at last, we are finally back at school seeing all of our teachers and students face to face and not over a screen on Google Meet! Now we’re at the start of the term to start fresh in our new semester after our 2 week holiday! We hope everyone had a fantastic holiday and had fun, we are happy to be back!
