Year 7

Mrs Kath Czinner

Halfway through the school year. We have achieved so much in this time. Our ability to cope with the multitude of challenges this Term has been remarkable. A huge congratulations to our students, staff and parents for our combined efforts and resilience. Learning has been our focus and we have extended our skills by working remotely.

Reports have been sent to families. Students are asked to reflect on where they are at in their learning and how they can move their learning forward. Next term student-led conferencing will take place in Week 3 and there will be further opportunities to share their learning experiences.

As we begin Term 3 afresh, please ensure that all equipment s is fully stocked and renew any books were needed.

Year 7 will rotate between Music and Visual Arts next term. A fresh timetable will be given out to the students next term.

Congratulations to Maya Teege for her Principal's award.

Enjoy the mid- year holidays.

Year 8

Mrs Katie Biddle

As we come to the end of an eventful, interesting and unusual term, it is a nice time to reflect on what we have learnt. I would like to thank the students, parents and teachers who supported the students this term. I have witnessed resilience, dedication and growth in many other areas. I am very proud of the way that Year 8 has risen to the challenge of remote learning and then returning to face to face learning. I hope that you have a restful and relaxing holiday.

The pictures below are of some students mining in a fruitcake in Mr Allerton’s science class.

I encourage all students to make the most of their holidays by connecting with friends and family, nature and the things that make them happy. Adding in a social media free day or two would be a great idea too!

Year 9

Mr Lloyd Honnery

As one of the most arguably hectic terms comes to an end it is my pleasure to acknowledge the amazing team I have working with me to support all of our wonderful students. Without their support, along with yours, we could not have helped Year 9 through such turbulent times. Thank you to all of the Year 9 PAC teachers.

I hope everyone has the opportunity to reconnect with family and friends these holidays.

Stay safe and have an enjoyable break, we’ll see you fresh and ready to take on what Term 3 throws at us!

Year 10

Mr Peter McLeish

After a Term that we will all remember for the rest of our lives and our students will be able to tell their grandchildren about, we are looking forward to a couple of weeks rest and relaxation. Students return on Tuesday July 21 when we look forward to continuing to watch them grow into the outstanding young adults we know they will become.

Until then, on behalf of the entire Year 10 PAC team of Mellissa, Camilla, Andrew, Matt, Frank, Jessica, Phoebe, Glenda, Ian, Jennifer and Cherie, I offer our sincere best wishes for your health and happiness and thanks for your support during the Term. Stay safe!

Year 11

Mr Fulloon

Well we made it through semester 1 2020 and Year 11 have worked hard through a somewhat challenging and interesting time to say the least. I would like to thank the entire Year 11 PAC team for their work this semester, as for the hard work from their subject teachers getting students through course content and a busy learning schedule. Now we have time to have a break and recharge before another busy school term. I wish all Year 11 time to enjoy their school holiday and we will see you next term ready again to meet new learning challenges.

Mark Fulloon on behalf of the Year 11 PAC Team.

Year 12

Mrs Vicki Channon

Well, it has been a very challenging term to say the least, but I would like to again congratulate and thank the Year 12 students in the manner in which they have handled all of the turmoil that has been thrown at them. I would like to thank all of the staff for contributing to the wellbeing of our students during this time.

For the majority of our students, the assessments are done and dusted, except for the odd one or two. For some of our students, they are now in the midst of completing and finalising major projects, which contributes quite a deal to their HSC marks for these various subjects.

Some holiday workshops will most likely be happening and the students will be informed of these via their teachers. The holidays are an important time to stop and have a little rest, as we all deserve this, but it is then vital to set good study patterns and work towards consolidating knowledge of course content by revising, completing past papers, making study notes etc… The holidays are a perfect opportunity to get on top of work so that students feel well prepared for the busy Term 3, especially with the Trial HSC exams scheduled for Weeks 5 and 6.

A letter will be distributed early next term with some important dates for Year 12.

Mrs Channon (on behalf of the entire Year 12 PAC team).
