Founder's Day

Founder's Day for 2020 was a great success and a fantastic way to end the Term.  Our School leaders put a lot of effort into their presentations and activities. Thank you to our Lasallian Youth Minister's and Lasalian Youth workers particularly.

Some photos and video from the day.

Levelled Literacy Intervention

(LLI) Classes

Our LLI classes have been continuing this Term and students have celebrated the end of Term with some treats. Classes resume next term and testing will occur around Week 4. Well done to everyone who has continued to be focused on their learning this Term in LLI and Literacy classes.

From the Archives

College Archivist Anthony Kelly was excited to find out that our builders have uncovered some old relics including a Logan's Cordial bottle during their initial stages of construction.  He believes that the area where they were found was an old tip site for the De La Salle College, established in 1906.

Mr Kelly thinks there is one thing just about as exciting as our new Performing Art's Building being constructed, and that is the chance of being able to find out... 'where the tunnels are'....

Z-Club Knitting Group

Z Club are asking for any keen knitters to get their needles out and knit up some squares which can then be stitched into small blankets. These blankets are for the foster children, who are sometimes removed from difficult situations and circumstances and often late at night. These blankets may provide a small amount of comfort to a child who is experiencing upheaval in their lives. If you can help, please find the following couple of patterns that are pretty straight forward.

Feel free to get a bit fancy and knit different patterns, but please try and stick to the 25cm square size. It is basically 50 stitches, 8 ply yarn and 4mm needles:)

Thanks so much for your help in this matter. If you do have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Vicki Channon at school.

DESMOS Learning and Fun!

Mr Tonkin's Year 10 Elective Math's class was using the Desmos website which allows students to explore digital classroom activities and promotes students learning to love maths.

The students this week were applying mathematical functions which could make things move digitally.
