Gateways opportunity

Wyndham Christian College has been proud to nominate and send student participants to various GATEWAYS programs in the past. During this season of remote learning they are providing opportunities for students in Grades 1-6 to participate in online programs. These programs are currently accessible for enrolment directly by parents and facilitated via Zoom. They are completely optional and do incur a cost depending on the program selected.

Parents need to arrange to enrol, pay and assist to facilitate their child to take advantage of these opportunities directly with GATEWAYS.

You can find further information online here: https://www.gateways.edu.au/programs/festivals/how-to-apply

Alternatively please contact GATEWAYS directly: Email: info@gateways.edu.au Phone: 03 9894 2116

Parent Volunteer Hours

We love having many hands on deck and including our wider school community in our activities. However, in light of the challenges we are all facing with COVID, the College has recognised that many families will be unable to complete the Parent Volunteer Hours for this year by 30 November 2020. Therefore, we have decided to give all existing families another year, until 30 November 2021, to complete the 10 hours and receive a credit of $350. This means that existing families will not be charged an additional $350 for PV hours in January 2021.

If your family has already completed the 10 hours this year, this will already have been credited back to you on your FACTS account and you will not be required to complete this again in 2021. You are still encouraged to participate in opportunities as they arise if you wish.

As an existing family, should you have another child/sibling entering the College, you will not be charged at the start of next year as PV Hours are calculated per family not per child.

All new families to WCC will be charged the PV Hours in January 2021 and will have one year to complete the volunteer hours, until 30 November 2021.

WCC Care Fund - contributions

The WCC-CARE Fund has been established to assist families in our Wyndham Christian College community who have been financially impacted by the coronavirus, many through loss of employment and/or business. A number of our families are now facing extremely difficult times and are feeling heartbroken by the thought of potentially needing to withdraw their children from the school.

We are asking those amongst our Wyndham community who are financially able, to donate to this cause. All donations to our scholarship fund will be carefully allocated to Wyndham families who have been directly financially impacted by the Coronavirus to assist with school fees. Ongoing or one-off donations toward WCC-CARE scholarships are not tax deductible, but are potentially life changing. You can join us by directly depositing a donation in to the College bank details below.
