“Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Sunday was JTrinity Sunday. Trinity Sunday is a Christian festival widely celebrated by Western Churches. It falls on the first Sunday after Pentecost, which is the 50th day after Easter. Trinity Sunday, in its essence, celebrates the mystery of faith and unity on and of the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
A Trinity doctrine is commonly expressed as the statement that the one God exists as or in three equally divine “Persons”, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. A difficult concept to ponder. It has always been a “hot topic” for the Church and the faithful to explain. I certainly can’t explain it clearly, so I have come to the conclusion that it is best left to faith to believe. There are numerous google research explanations you may like to look up. Our senior students who are studying Studies in Catholic Thought are writing (or attempting to write) an explanation for an assignment at the moment. I wish them luck!

"The way, the truth, the life."
The above painting was painted by our talented Visual Arts teacher Brooke Jarvis.
I asked Brooke to paint an image of Mary and Jesus to display in the College.
A message from Brooke
In my painting of Mary and Jesus I aimed to capture a sense of wonder, hope and love.
Light emits from the baby Jesus and is mirrored in the peace and serenity of Mary, His mother. The love of both radiates outwards through bright abstract colours and a second light source shines down from above, representing the Father in heaven.
The warm, fiery colours of the abstract background create the mystery and wonder of the Holy Spirit. There is darkness too in this painting, and it is there that the light of Jesus shines brightest, as he is truly "the way, the truth, the life."
Peace and Best Wishes
