Student Wellbeing

Our current School Wide Positive Behaviour Support focus is 'The Right Way to Play'.

As a school we've been revisiting our yard rules and expectations and really focusing on where particular games can be played on the yard. A general rule is that if it's a hitting (cricket etc), kicking (football, soccer etc) or running/chasing game, students should be utilising the oval to minimise the risk of injuries or accidents.

Dogs Connect Update:

May has settled beautifully into our school and is beginning to spend more and more time at school each week. The way May has settled is a real credit to our students, staff and our wider school community as everyone is following the initial three rules of not talking to May, giving her space and not staring. Well done everyone!

May is currently working on becoming familiar with a number of different handlers and we're slowly increasing the amount of time in which she directly interacts with students. The next step will be for May to begin spending some time in different classrooms.

Thanks to everyone for their support and the hugely positive attitude of students, staff and families towards this project.
