Principal's Report

GOVERNING COUNCIL ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The date for this year’s meeting has been moved to Monday May 30th.

The meeting will be held in our PAC at 6:00pm.

We invite parents and caregivers to come along and find out more about how our school operates.

We also invite parents and carers to nominate to join our Governing Council.

If you are unable to attend on Monday, you are welcome to nominate yourself by notifying Hayley in the front office.

NAPLAN

Students in Years 3 and 5 have completed this year’s NAPLAN assessments.

Results are due in September and will be sent to families as soon as possible after they arrive in the school.

COLD WEATHER

Now the cold weather is beginning to set in we remind families of the importance of sending your child/ren to school with correct school Governing Council approved jackets. It is essential that all school attire is clearly labelled with the child’s name to avoid losses.

Only plain black pants are approved.

We appreciate your support with ensuring all students at HPS feel and look like they belong to our school community.

TAKE HOME READING

At HPS we expect all students read at home every day. Students are provided with take home packs containing 2 reading texts and some useful information for families.

Please spend time listening to your child read every night and ensure the take home packs are returned to school every day.

Parents and carers are invited to pop into room 12 (adjacent to the library) after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays to join your child/ren when they choose books to take home.

Available times on these days will be from 3:05 -3:20pm.
