2022 Victorian Premier's Reading Challenge
2022 Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge
This year, Oatlands PS students will, once again, undertake the Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge. The Challenge highlights the importance of reading, both for literacy development and enjoyment. It is not a competition, but a personal challenge for children to read a set number of books by the closing date, Friday 2nd September, 2022.
Children from Prep to Year 2 are encouraged to read or ‘experience’ 30 books with their parents and teachers. Children from Year 3 to Year 6 are challenged to read 15 books. All books which have been read since the beginning of the year can be included.
All children who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement, signed by the Victorian Premier and former Premiers.
On the PRC application students (and parents) can:
- log completed books and track progress towards their goal
- search for their favourite books and view book recommendations
- earn digital badges when challenge milestones are achieved
- mark their favourite books, give them a star rating, and complete a book review

All students have been registered and will receive their login passwords shortly. If you have any other questions about the 2022 PRC, please contact your child’s classroom teacher.
HAPPY READING!
