Community Acts of Kindness - Emily Murcott        Head of Positive Education

It was a tough start to the year, as many people experienced tragedy and loss due to the bushfires. Mullum rolled into action to consider and be kind to those in our community and beyond. Each class chose an action to look after another's health or build people's positive emotions. It is needed more now than ever before with our current situation. We need to be kind to one another, show compassion towards the elderly and for those who are unable to afford essential items. We are a kind, caring and hopeful community, as you can see below.

Grade 3 & 4 have been looking at humor and how that is used to generate positive emotion.  Each class has created a joke book to send to schools in bush fire affected areas.

Grade 2T have been looking after the school communities health and wellbeing by clearing stones and twigs off the courts. Has anyone noticed who our quiet fairies are who have been doing this? Did anyone notice how safe and rock free the courts have been throughout this term? Thanks you Grade 2 students for making it a safe environment and for thinking of us and caring about us.

Grade 6CN class has written cards filled with hope, compassion and kindness, and sent seeds to Mallacoota Primary School so that they know that we are thinking of them during this tough time.
