Wednesday 24th and 31st July, our Years 4 - 6 students have been competing in track and field events at Duncan McKinnon Reserve. Their enthusiasm and support of each other is commendable as they participate in all events. The House Trophy will be presented at Assembly in the coming weeks. Valkstone's Athletics Team will be selected from these sport days to compete in the Moorabbin Primary Schools Athletics Sports in September.

Parent Opinion Survey

A random, computer-generated sample of 75  families has received the Parent Opinion Survey invitation by e-mail. This survey will be open until 11th August. We value your feedback. Please assist Valkstone in its planning and provision of education for your children by completing the survey.

Thank you in advance!

School Uniform

Please ensure your child is wearing the correct Valkstone uniform. The colours are NAVY BLUE and GOLD. Quality uniforms are available to purchase from the school uniform shop - order forms at the Office. Good condition second-hand uniforms are available once a term from the Second Hand Uniform Sale run by parents. Children who are  consistently out of uniform will be given reminder slips for their parents.

Students MUST be in correct uniform when representing the school, at sporting events and on excursions.

Mobile Phones in Schools

There has been much discussion about mobile phones in schools with the Minister of Education banning student use of mobile phones from 2020. Valkstone has had a Mobile Phone Policy in place since 2010. This has worked well for our students and their families. Refer to the school website for our current policy.
