Term 2 is looking like another busy one in the PCW sporting world!

After an action packed start to the year with the PCW Swimming and Athletics Carnival’s being held, this term is another chance for the girls to represent the school in a vast array of sports. Amongst 5 SCSA events, PCW House Cross Country will also be occurring on the 12th of June.

Away from the official sporting events, work is being done with the Sport Leaders to implement lunchtime sporting competitions and the return of the HOUSE CUP. These lunchtime events will provide students an opportunity to try out new sports, harness new skills and overall, have some fun!

SCSA Badminton

Well done to all the girls who attended the SCSA Division 3 Badminton Tournament held at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Thursday 9th May.  After a tough start due to some serious competition from the other competing schools, the girls showed a great spirit throughout the day and improved as the day went on. Considering all 3 teams only had one official training session before the event, the teamwork, skill and sportsmanship shown throughout the day was outstanding.

On another day and with a little bit more luck, PCW could have easily added to their one win for the day. A big congratulations to Chrisoula Stavroulakis, Vitalia Mitchell, Lexi White and Jacqueline Petherick from the Junior A/B team for doing PCW proud with a thrilling win! Both the Intermediate and Senior teams put up a great effort during the day and will look forward to competing next year as both teams were filled with the younger year level.

Thank you to Celine Vinot, Eloise Shirley and Ella Brinksma for assisting with the coaching for the day.

On to next year we go!
