Year 7 Camp

Year 7 Reflections

On Wednesday the 8th of May, our Year 7 students and several staff members spent three fabulous days at the Phillip Island Adventure Resort. The Camp provided students with an opportunity to develop resilience, whilst making new friends and continue building their connection to the PCW community.

The students were divided into 5 groups and tackled several physical and mentally challenging activities, such as the Giant Swing, High Ropes, Canoeing, Raft Making and Twin Flying Fox. It was incredibly heart-warming to see students working together and encouraging students who were a little more reluctant.

The Year 7 girls also had the opportunity to develop friendships with the Year 10 and 11 students from the Sport and Rec class, as well as the Year 11 and 12 girls from the VCAL class. The older students were incredibly encouraging and organised some fantastic evening activities for the Year 7’s.

I’d like to thank all students for their beautiful behaviour and positivity on camp. The students had a wonderful time and made strong friendships and memories, that will put them in good stead for the years to come at Presentation College Windsor.

Camp was a great experience to share with new friends here at PCW. There were many fun things that happened at Camp and I'm so happy I got to be a part of it. –

Camp was amazing, the activities were really fun and everyone joined in and cheered us all on. My favourite activity was the Giant Swing, mostly because everyone believed that I could go to the top…. also because Mr Than went to the top on the giant swing and it was hilarious!! Some of the older students came on camp also and prepared some really fun activities. There was a cabin scavenger hunt as well as a dance competition. Overall camp was a great experience and I look forward to going on camp again in Year 9. -

I had an amazing experience on Year 7 Camp. I loved the fact that we got to know each other on a different level got to know different people that we may not have interacted with at school on a normal week day. - Ruby Dewar-German

Year 7 Camp was a wonderful experience! The activities that were amazing and so much fun! It gave us a chance to experience a challenge and I also made a heap of new friends and got to see a different side of everyone outside of the school. - Claudia Lui

At camp, I had so much fun. I got to meet people I never hung out with, and maybe never talked to, either! I loved hanging out in my cabin with my friends, and all the activities the Year 10, 11 and 12 students organised and prepared. My favourite activity was the giant swing. It was really exciting and nerve-racking at the same time. I got to meet new teachers and it was such a fun experience! –
