Prayer

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.

Prayer for a New Beginning

In out of the way places of the heart,

Where your thoughts never think to wander,

This beginning has been quietly forming,

Waiting until you were ready to emerge.

Though your destination is not yet clear

You can trust the promise of this opening;

Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning

That is at one with your life's desire.

Awaken your spirit to adventure;

Hold nothing back, learn to find ease in risk;

Soon you will be home in a new rhythm,

For your soul senses the world that awaits you.

Visit from new Mercy College Principal -

Ms Brenda Timp

The new Principal of Mercy College Ms Brenda Timp visited the College last week and spoke with our Senior students about continuing the great relationship and activities across our schools.

Reunion of the Class of 1956-1957

I was delighted to join the class of 1956-57 for their reunion last week. All those in attendance were so grateful for their education at the College and for the Christian Brothers. Special thanks to Mr Bill Sutton who organised and coordinated the event. It was wonderful to welcome Bishop Peter Ingham who was in that class, Mr Michael Flannagan (1956 College Captain) and Mr John Mulally (1957 College Captain). Throughout this group of ex-students there have been significant contributions to the community through Religious life, the Law, Industry, Commerce, Retail and all walks of life.
