Year 6 Celebrations

The Final Week

Graduation

Our Year 6 students graduated on Tuesday evening, with a beautiful liturgy followed by a pizza and dancing celebration in the hall. A big thank you to Father James who was kind enough to join us in sending the graduates off with his Homily, Cathy Monaghan for her parent reflection and Trish McKean, Kate Johnson and Sarah Jones for making the hall look resplendent and sparkly.

It was also wonderful to see Mrs Stutterd, who joined the celebrations after mass at St Louis. There was a real feeling of community and gratitude, which was such a nice way to finish the year.

Luna Park

To cap off the end of year celebrations for the Year 6s we headed down to St Kilda Luna Park. Despite their best efforts, the students weren't able to persuade Mr Books, Mr Sandison or Mrs Wells to go on the Double Dragon Pirate Ship, but they had a great day enjoying the rides.

Final Farewell & Guard of Honour

We ended the day with a special assembly to farewell our Year 6 graduates with a special message from Brad Roswell MP after he helped the class prepare for their leadership roles when they were in grade 5. We also had the traditional poem as a nice send-off. The guard of honour and traditional bell ringing, completed the official celebrations; with an extra special send-off for Mr Broooks, who also received a guard of honour and a ring of the bell.
