Senior School sport and carnival update 

Welcome back everyone! 

 

I hope you're all looking forward to Term 1, which is chock-full of fun and exciting sports and carnivals. Why not have a chat to your friends and join a team, or try a new sport? As they say, there is no time like the present! 

 

We have a range of after-school sports on offer and the best part is, no previous playing experience is required! It’s all about trying something new, being active and having some fun with your friends. 

All the information regarding Term 1 sports can be found in the table below:

Carnivals 

 

We also have a couple of carnivals taking place in Term 1 including the Big Splash on Tuesday 23 February, which is a whole Senior School event at the Glenorchy Pool and trust me, you do not want to miss out! 

 

2021 Night Swim Carnival

 

All students keen to try out for the St Mary’s swim team are invited to attend the Night Swim Carnival, which will be held on Wednesday 17 February at the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre from 7.00pm – 9.00pm.

 

To enter, simply click on the link below and select the events you would like to trial in. We have 50m Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly and you can do one, two or all of them!

But wait, there is more! We will offer three FREE training sessions for students who would like to improve or work on their swimming prior to the Night Swim Carnival.

St Mary's College will provide a bus back to school at 8.15am so parents do not need to worry about transport after training.
