Volunteers Needed
Do you have one hour a week free to make a difference in our school community?
At Good Shepherd there are many ways that you can volunteer your time to support our student’s needs.
One of our Learning Support programs is called MultiLit and has seen many Stage 3 and Stage 4 students find great success with their Reading and Writing.
MultiLit stands for ‘Making Up Lost Time in Literacy’ and is a reading program designed to increase children's progress in reading accuracy, fluency, comprehension and spelling. We really value and need the support of volunteer tutors to help continue the success of this program.
We will supply full training and all we need of you is that you have your WWC check, are registered for our Volunteer training in Week 5, can commit to one regular day a week to volunteer and have a love of working alongside children to help them reach their full potential.
If this sounds like you, or you are interested and would like to find out more, we would love to hear from you before Friday 5 February.
Please contact one of our Learning Support Teachers below at your next convenience.

Growing Faith at Home
Welcome to 2021! It is wonderful to be together once again.
There is much to look forward to this year. As students settle in to the newness of the year, be it new classes, teachers, routines, friends, there is lots to share and talk about!
This year I would like to continue to share a great resource with you from ‘Growing Faith at Home’. It’s full of ideas and activities to chat about and do with your family. This week’s theme is ‘Jesus the Teacher’. Jesus taught so many helpful things that positively impact our lives and relationships. Can you think of one message that is especially meaningful to you?
God bless our year together with love, hope and peace!
Georgie Schuster
