Seniors‘ Room and Home Studies

It’s been an exciting time in the senior school, with our senior students taking their next steps towards becoming more independent young people.

The year 11 and 12 students have worked very hard to negotiate with the SRC and the leadership team to access a seniors‘ room for 2021. They have created a list of expectations and begun furnishing the space with items to make it more comfortable at lunch and recess times.

Some of our year 12 students have been accessing home study periods for the last week or so. It’s been great to see these students arriving at school in time for their classes, in appropriate school uniform and with all of their learning materials. They truly are role models for their PHS peers.

Just a reminder that, while on home studies, students are not permitted to visit shops in the Main Street or their friends houses, even during the lunch break. This privilege is only  to study at home. Students do not have to remain at home during their approved home study classes. They are still very welcome to come to school for teacher support.
