Swimming Carnival

Thanks to the District Council for concluding the work on the Peterborough Pool to allow us to run our Swimming Carnival as planned on Monday 15/2. We have everything in place for the carnival and look forward to seeing parents/caregivers there to support their students. The pool does not have any restriction on the number of spectators who can attend, but all people attending will need to complete a Covid Sign-in on their arrival. The Carnival will start at 12 o’clock and we anticipate being finished around 2.30 - 3pm. The Pool Canteen will be open for Drinks, Chips and Lollies and we will have our usual Sausage Sizzle available ($2 for a sausage, Bread and Sauce).

MNSEC Swimming

The MNSEC Swimming Carnival this year is being held at Booleroo on Tuesday 16/2 (which is the day after our Swimming Carnival) and will start at 6pm. Students are able to nominate for this Carnival by putting their names in a list in the Student Services Hub in the Library. Students who do nominate will need to have transport to and home from Booleroo that evening.

Athletics Day (Friday 5th March)

This annual event is fast approaching and will once again be held at the Peterborough Town Oval. This Carnival is an all day affair with students going straight to the oval to prepare for the day. At the completion of the Carnival, students will be dismissed from the town oval. The SRC will again be selling Drinks and Chips and I will make up lunches for those who order beforehand. The Form to order your lunch for sports day will be in the next newsletter. Please complete promptly and return to school to make sure your order is included in the food prepared. Watch this space for what food is available to order. The food you order will need to be paid for when you collect it on the day.

School Photos

School photos will be taken on Thursday 18/2 first thing in the morning. Students will need to remember to bring their photo order form and correct money with them to school that day. When considering what photos you would like to order you do not need to tick the Photo ID Card – the school is paying for an ID card for each student and have organised this with the Photographer. If you are away from school on the day the photos are taken you are able to still get your photo taken but you will need to go to Palmer Photography in Ayre St. in Jamestown. Students and parents are reminded that PHS school uniform needs to be worn the day of the photos.
