Hello MPRPS community. Imogen here with another article for you all.

With plenty of time having been spent staying at home and all members of the family eating bread, most families will have plenty of bread tags sitting around. MPRPS is taking all donations of bread tags again! We now have a box in the foyer where you can bring in all of your bread tags. They will then be recycled and made into products to be sold. All profits will go to making wheelchairs for children in South Africa.

Something else also happened… we all grew! Was it all the bread we ate or something else? But as one of the consequences of this we all have uniform items that don’t fit. Unlike quite a few others in our community, I have a younger sibling who can inherit mine but the school has decided that they are happy to take uniform again as long as it is washed and bagged. Once you have made sure that they are clean and bagged Mrs Streitberger would request that they be left outside the glass doors at the foyer.

Staying on the topic of recycling and reusing the Rebel Sport in forest hill chase has started up their “save our soles” program again where you can bring in your old shoes and drop them off at the checkout desk or a designated bin, where your shoes are then taken to a place where they can be pulled apart and the materials recycled. The main part of the program focuses on ways the soles of our shoes can be recycled. They are currently using the rubber parts to make gym mats, floors and playgrounds. I would like to thank all members of our community for participating in the “save our soles” program  and for disposing of old products sustainably. Thank you for helping save our planet.
